This privacy policy provides information about how Artec Aqua AS (“Artec Aqua”) processes personal data.
This privacy policy was revised most recently on 6 August 2019.
We at Artec Aqua deliver products and systems for land-based fish farming, so the processing of personal data does not constitute a large part of our business. Nevertheless, the section below explains how we process personal data concerning our customers, suppliers and partners.
Artec Aqua is the Data Controller for the processing of personal data as described in this policy.
We process personal data for two distinct purposes: making sales and marketing our products. Processing personal data for these purposes requires a legal basis. This legal basis may, for instance, take the form of an agreement to which the data subject is a party, a statutory obligation, or consent to the processing pursuant to Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Item 1 below presents more information about the purposes for which we process personal data, the legal bases on which the processing is founded, and which personal data are processed in connection with the purposes.
In order to be able to deliver our products, we process contact information concerning our suppliers and customers. Said contact information consists of: name, phone number, address, email address, company affiliation and invoicing details.
The legal basis for this processing is fulfilment of agreements.
In order to make contact with former, existing and potential customers and partners, we market our services through the distribution of newsletters. For this purpose, we use names and email addresses.
The legal basis for this processing of personal data is consent.
If you have consented to our sending you our newsletter, you can withdraw this consent at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the newsletter, or by emailing us directly at nyhetsbrev@artec-aqua.com.
Artec Aqua has documented technical and organisational measures designed to ensure that personal data are processed in a manner which assures their confidentiality, accessibility and integrity.
Artec Aqua does not disclose your personal data to third parties unless such disclosure derives from legal obligations on the company.
Artec Aqua uses subcontractors (Data Processors) for some administrative assignments. In cases where personal data are shared with a data processor, the processing of personal data is secured through data processor agreements. Data processor agreements ensure that the personal data are not used for any other purposes, and that the processing complies with the requirements stipulated in GDPR.
Artec Aqua does not process personal data outside the EU/EEA.
If we process your personal data, you may contact us to demand
personal data that refer to you as a data subject.
If, as a data subject, you disagree with how we are processing personal data, you are entitled to submit a complaint to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
Artec Aqua will store the personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose of the processing. We will not store the personal data for any longer than this, unless there is a separate legal basis for continued processing – accounting or bookkeeping obligations, for example.
As regards newsletters, this means we will store your data until you use the link in the newsletter to inform us that you no longer wish to receive it.
